What Are HA Filler Dissolving?
HA filler dissolving is a treatment used to safely and effectively remove hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers from the skin. It’s performed using an enzyme called Hylenex (hyaluronidase), which works by speeding up the natural breakdown of HA, allowing your body to absorb and clear it.
It’s important to note that this procedure only works on HA-based fillers. Hylenex cannot dissolve fillers made from other substances such as calcium hydroxylapatite (e.g., Radiesse), poly-L-lactic acid (e.g., Sculptra), or PMMA. If you're unsure what type of filler you’ve had, a consultation with one of our providers can help guide the next steps.
